Lovely accommodation. Spacious and comfortable - particularly the beds and sofas. It was really cold on Saturday and Sunday so it was marvellous to come back to comfort and cosiness after beach walking. Our previous experiences with holiday lets have not been as comfy!

Probably the best planned and appointed country cottage we have stayed in. Very comfortable, relaxing, dog-friendly and disabled access (maybe a second armrest in one of the loos?) We comment Hill House in Happisburgh for quality of welcome and service and good range of pub grub, and Charlotte's on the High Street in Stalham as a friendly venue for coffee and snacks.

Wonderful new year spent with friends at Goldfinch Cottage. Jane pays attention to the details that make a break 5 star: -
A box of dishwasher tabs, not one or two but plenty. Plenty of tea towels. Sharp cooking knife. Good quality tea bags. Thick quality towels. I could go on, thank you.
There are lots of dog walks from the house and the kitchen door opens out to a fully fenced courtyard so dogs can be off lead. Highly recommend a stay.

Thank you for the cosy comfort on the coast. We had a lovely few days exploring this part of the Norfolk coast/Broads, and thanks for the wonderful local recommendations - loved Poppylands and Fair Maiden Shellfish. A perfect base to rest our feet after all the walks on the beach. Cassie our Scottie dog says thank you for all the blankets. Oh, not forgetting being able to hear a tawny owl in the evenings from the cottage, or watching bats from the country lanes and lighthouse. What a delight! Despite walking a lot of miles, we have come home feeling rejuvenated and refreshed thanks to the scenic views and environment, including all the comfort and well-equipped facilities at the cottage. We also appreciated the lovely welcome hamper goodies and dog blankets.

Far from the madding crowd, Goldfinch is a nest of luxurious comfort. It delivers on style and function. It’s proximity on foot to the coast is perfect. The gigantic bed is a particular feature, with its en suite spa bath. Perfect after a day’s walking. Plenty of reading material to browse through if you’re not in the mood for tv. Lovely private garden space as well as a larger communal garden. We were fortunate to visit during open studios which introduced us to some fabulous local artists. All in all the perfect rural retreat.

A true gem of a cottage in a peaceful location just minutes from the fabulous beaches of the Norfolk coast. Incredibly comfortable enormous bed for the grown ups with another great room for the kids. The cottage is furnished with lots homely touches and we were met with a welcome basket not only for the big and little humans but for the dog as well. We feel very lucky to have been able to stay here and hope to come again. I think a visit every season is in order!

Goldfinch is reached from a network of lovely country lanes, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the frenetic world. Park right outside and walk on the gravel to the wooden gate, unlatch it, and enter the enclosed courtyard filled with pretty plants and colour, beach stone sculptures and lanterns over an outdoor table. The bifold doors open into a magnificent kitchen/diner and living room, with stone floors and cosy sofas and chairs. The skylights let the daylight flood into the rooms making it even more spacious! The bedrooms are very roomy with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The bathrooms are also large and welcoming. Comfort personified! Fluffy towels, crisp fresh bed linen and spare blankets for the winter! This is a place to relax in and forget all your worries. I cannot wait to return.
